A-S Limited’s Sportsman Div gets 2017 sponsor boost

Albany-Saratoga Speedway Limited Sportsman Division Sponsorship Announcement

In the racing world of Malta, New York, an exciting development is on the horizon for the Limited Sportsman Division at Albany-Saratoga Speedway. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Gary DeRocher, the owner of Electric City Taxi, there will be an additional boost of cash up for grabs when the track championship is decided.

Mr. DeRocher, who himself is a competitor in the Limited Sportsman division, has established a remarkable $1,100 point fund for the year 2017. This fund will dish out a substantial $500 to the winner, $300 to the second-place finisher, and $100 each to third through fifth in the final point standings. All of these monies will be awarded at the year-end speedway banquet, in addition to the regular track point fund for the division. Electric City Taxi has been a fixture in the business for over five years and is based in Schenectady, New York, one of the prominent enterprises in the area. They are dedicated to fulfilling all your taxi needs. To get in touch, simply call 1-518-878-6668.

This sponsorship from Electric City Taxi is a significant addition to their already extensive support for five cars that compete weekly at Albany Saratoga Speedway. Among these are the defending Modified champion Marc Johnson, the Sportsman runner Chris Johnson, and the Limited Sportsman runners Billy Augustine, Larry Neimic, and of course, Gary DeRocher himself. Mr. DeRocher, a long-time race enthusiast, firmly believes that the support divisions are just as crucial as the headline divisions. His plan to back the Limited Sportsman division was first announced during the 2016 season-ending banquet. Lyle DeVore, the promoter of Albany-Saratoga Speedway, had this to say: “Having Electric City Taxi come on board as a supporter of the Limited Sportsman is truly great for the division. Dave’s support of this class serves as an exemplary demonstration of the commitment of our participants at all levels. We look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with Electric City Taxi.” Located in Schenectady, New York, Electric City Taxi is one of the major businesses in the city. For any inquiries, contact Dave DeRocher at 518-878-6668.

Albany-Saratoga Speedway is set to open its doors for the 2017 season on Friday, April 21, at 7:00 pm, with a thrilling $3,000 to win Modified feature.
