Borger Gets Sponsorship for 602 Sportsman at Penn Can

SUSQUEHANNA, PA – The offseason is a mere myth when it comes to racing. Drivers and teams wholeheartedly pursue their passion with unwavering dedication throughout the winter. And this holds true for the promoters as well. Doug Borger of Penn Can Speedway has managed to secure a sponsor for the 2017 season.

The 602-crate sportsman division will be rewarded with a lucrative $700.00 payout for the winner. However, for this substantial prize to be awarded, the car count needs to reach a remarkable 31 for the evening. And this increase isn’t limited to just a few select areas; it extends throughout the entire field. The 2nd place finisher will earn $400, the 3rd place gets $300, the 4th place is $250, the 5th place $240, the 6th place $230, the 7th place $220, the 8th place $200, the 9th place $175, the 10th place $150, and the 11th place $125. The pay to take the green flag is a handsome $100. At present, the sponsor wishes to remain anonymous.

Penn Can Speedway and Xcel Chassis will have a booth at this weekend’s Motorsports expo. Borger will be on hand to engage in discussions about the 2017 season and what lies ahead.
