NEW EGYPT, NJ – Flemington Department Store, situated on Route 31 in Flemington, NJ and right next to the erstwhile Flemington Speedway, has joined in to sponsor the Sportsman section of the March Meltdown, which is slated to take place on March 18 at New Egypt Speedway.
The 25-lap event, offering a $1,000 prize for the winner and $100 to start, will showcase the Crate Modifieds versus Open Sportsman, following the 50-lap, $5,000-to-win Big Block versus Small Block feature on Saturday, March 18th.
Marty Resnick, the owner of Flemington Department Store, is set to embark on his third season of competition at New Egypt Speedway in 2017.
The March Meltdown marks the start of New Egypt Speedway’s 20th season as a dirt track on Saturday, March 18th.

The pit gates will open at 12 PM, while the spectator gates will swing open at 2 PM. Hot laps will commence at 3 PM, and heat races will begin at 4 PM. Adult admission is $25, seniors aged 65 and above are charged $23, teens aged 12-15 along with military personnel and their spouses cost $15, and children 11 and under are admitted for free.
Ms. Motorsports 2017 Taylor Albert will also make an appearance at New Egypt Speedway on March 18th.
