CNY’s Industrial Tire Back as Sponsor of Speedway Event

FULTON, NY – Industrial Tire Of CNY is set to reprise its role as the title sponsor of the highly rewarding and beloved by both drivers and fans, Sportsman Shootout Championship during the 32nd Annual Sunoco Fulton Ethanol Facility Outlaw 200 Weekend, presented by SUNY Canton on September 29 and 30.

Regarded as one of the most prestigious races for Sportsman in the Northeast, one needn’t look further than 2016. Back then, a whopping 81 competitors vied to qualify for the event. It took a whopping eight heat races, four consolations, and a pair of last chance races to determine the 30-car starting field for the Industrial Tire Of CNY Sportsman Shootout 50. In the 50-lap showdown, the 2016 track champion, Ronnie Davis III, made a powerful charge from the middle of the pack to seize the $2,500 victory.

The Industrial Tire of CNY Sportsman Shootout is set to gain even greater significance in the Northeast Sportsman scene as it becomes the first event in the new DIRTcar Sportsman Championship Series ‘Fall Championship Challenge’. This format will witness the best drivers from four distinct regions locking horns in a five-race playoff for the Overall DIRTcar Sportsman Championship.

Drivers will have two chances to secure a starting spot in this lucrative event before the Outlaw Weekend at Fulton Speedway. The first opportunity comes on Friday, April 28, during the ‘Highbank Holdup Weekend’, which is the first round of the DIRTcar Championship Series. Then, there’s another chance at Brewerton Speedway on Friday, September 15, at the ‘Duel At The Demon’ DIRTcar Championship Series event.
